Matt Marvuglio | Rick Peckham
Rick Peckham is Assistant Chair of the Guitar Department at Berklee College of Music. He has worked all over the world as a performer and clinician. His trio recording Left End has received international critical acclaim, including selection by Downbeat magazine as one of the top releases of 2005. His online course, Berklee Guitar Chords 101 was recently chosen for the 2007 Distance Learning Award by the University Continuing Education Association.

Rick Peckham, Assistant Chair of the Guitar department at Berklee College of Music, discusses the online guitar classes offered at berkleemusic.com. In particular, he assesses what makes teaching online a different experience for both teacher and student, notes some teaching methods that the online format makes possible that would never be possible in a physical classroom, and briefly walks through the curriculum of his course, “Guitar Chords 101.”
