Description: In this segment of a seminar held the 2008 SEA (Self-Employed Artists) conference, Gary Ernst of North Central College traces the evolution of the course materials for his introductory-level entrepreneurship course away from a textbook and toward a collection of internet links and supplementary short readings. From this, he draws some observations about how the preferred learning style of today's college students has changed, and shares some strategies that his colleagues are employing to keep their students engaged with the material. He then takes audience questions on this subject about managing a transition to a textbookless course.
