Eduardus Halim, a concert pianist and Professor of piano at New York University’s Steinhardt School, discusses the art of tone production on the piano, and how you can alter the color and expressiveness of your playing by altering the mechanics of your hand. He also discusses the importance of pedaling, how to use the sustain and una corda pedals effectively, and why the art of pedaling is notoriously inexact.
