Alan Ett
Alan Ett is founder and President of the Alan Ett Creative Group, a Los Angeles-based music and production empire composed of: Alan Ett Music Group, a full-service music production facility; Media City Sound, an audio post-production facility; Creative Production Group, which produces original programming; and Opus 1 Music Library, which licenses music and soundbeds. He is also a composer and keyboardist and a graduate of the New England Conservatory.

Alan Ett, President, CEO and founder of Alan Ett Creative Group, recounts how he got his start in the music business, and describes in detail some of the Group’s companies, including Opus 1 Music Library, Media City Sound, Creative Production Group, and IMRAS (International Music Royalty Administration Services). He also discusses his management philosophy, how he integrates creative concerns into business matters, and the challenges that face an independent company in competition with the majors. Finally, he offers some cautionary advice to musicians hoping to break into the music business.
