Description:

Ray Scott, a songwriter and artist, talks about some of his musical influences. Since he started in the 90s, country had a major impact on him. Scott also points out how what you listened to as a kid is a major influence on you as an adult. For instance, his biggest inspirations were artists like Johnny Cash and songwriters like Billy Joe Shaver. Scott also explains his goal to tell it like it is as his role models did. While his sound may be more modern, he still keeps it sparse. Also in this segment, Scott talks about his core touring group. He mentions Jack Gavin, Troy Klontz, and Phillip Moore. Moore came through the ranks with Scott and is the co-writer and co-producer on his record.
