Jerry Del Colliano is the Director of Thornton Executive Programs in Music Industry and Clinical Professor of Music Industry at the University of Southern California. He is a former television and radio broadcaster, and for twenty-seven years was the publisher of the influential radio industry magazine, Inside Radio, until its sale to Clear Channel in 2002.

Jerry Del Colliano is the Director of Thornton Executive Programs in Music Industry and Clinical Professor of Music Industry at the University of Southern California. He shares his feelings on the future of the music industry. He is currently pessimistic because the major record labels show no willingness to change. However, Del Colliano explains that if the labels do change and work with today's generation, the labels may be able to evolve into something important. Also in this segment, Del Colliano shares his predictions if the major labels do not change. Entrepreneurs will form Internet record labels. The music industry will see a lot of democracy and grassroots capitalism. Eventually, the Internet will be consolidated. Del Colliano points out that the music industry must embrace technology and learn from sociology.
