David Molner founded Screen Capital International in January 2001. The company specializes in structuring and facilitating cross-border tax-advantaged financing for major motion picture producers in vehicles involving private, public and corporate investors, both inside and outside the United States .SCI's core market is Germany , where it advises high net worth private investors, family trusts and public funds in making dedicated, tax-advantaged motion picture investments. This activity is an outgrowth of Molner's tenure as senior vice president of Worldwide Corporate Business Development of the Viacom Entertainment Group/Paramount Pictures. Molner also actively managed a number of initiatives at Paramount in the studio's ancillary businesses of music publishing, theme parks, multiplex theaters, merchandising and new technology.Prior to working for Viacom, Molner lived in Berlin as a freelance journalist for publications such as The Economist and The Chicago Tribune . Molner has also been a guest lecturer on International Film Marketing at Georgetown University since 1999. Molner, a European languages specialist, was born in Chicago and received his BA from Trinity College .
