Robert Cutietta
Robert Cutietta is Dean of the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. An internationally recognized authority on the theory and practice of music education, he is the author of Raising Musical Kids: A Parent's Guide (Oxford University Press, 2001) as well as numerous journal articles. He has been a speaker at every national meeting of MENC (Music Educators’ National Conference) for the last twenty years, and has lectured worldwide on topics related to music education.

Robert Cutietta, Dean of the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California, discusses the school's commitment to community service and interaction, and how the community programs fit into the life of the students. He discusses in particular faculty member Midori's initiatives to break down barriers between the music program and the rest of USC and Los Angeles at large.
