John Bourgeois
Colonel John Bourgeois (US Marine Corps, Retired), is Director Emeritus of the United States Marine Band, which he led from 1979-1996. His tenure with the Marine Band spanned nine US Presidencies, and he has been called the greatest influence on the direction and sound of the ensemble since John Philip Sousa. He is currently acting as a Visiting Professor of Music at Loyola University, New Orleans. |
