Leigh Ann Hardie, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at EMI Christian Label Group in Nashville talks about company labels and artist development at EMI CMG. She gives an overview of the different labels under EMI CMG and their role in specializing in different genres of music. She also describes how the label uses A&R to find promising new artists. She discusses the stages an artist goes through at EMI CLG. First is the initial music interview which is done informally. Then a champion team is assigned to the artist. As the record is being recorded, post production, creative services, publicity and radio become involved to assure a successful record launch.
