Description: Mia Olson, a Professor of Woodwinds at Berklee College of Music, invites us to sit in on her Yoga for Students class as she runs her students through a series of breathing, balance and physical techniques derived from Kripalu yoga that are designed to physically and mentally prepare students to perform music. In this segment, she takes the students through a series of poses and breathing exercises designed to open the chest and shoulders and release tension in the body, including nadi shodhana (alternate nostril) breathing, the Warrior III posture, and the Eagle posture.
