A Master Class with Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Part 1: Concert

Gatemouth Brown
Although Texas native Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown achieved some personal success during his life as a guitarist, songwriter (“Okie Dokie Stomp”) and uncompromising blues and roots music visionary, his most lasting legacy has been as an influence on other great musicians – he was claimed as a favorite by Frank Zappa, and his trademark sound shaped the styles of a bevy of fellow Texans, among them Albert Collins, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, and Jimmie Vaughan.
