Songwriter PJ Morton visits Loyola University, New Orleans to discuss his approach to the craft of songwriting. In this segment he discusses some of his current projects, his preference for mixing programmed instruments with live musicians, how artists like Prince and James Taylor have influenced him, and what the current state of R&B is. He also explains how he became a songwriter and why he made some of the business, personal and career choices he has made, as well as some things that every songwriter must know in order to survive .
