Description: Charles Anthony, a tenor in his fifty-third season with New York’s Metropolitan Opera, leads a master class in singing opera at Loyola University, New Orleans. As six students perform, Anthony advises them in vocal technique and stagecraft, offering advice in such areas as how to captivate an audience, how to use your breath to create or enhance the dramatic pacing of your aria, how to move and act on stage, and how to mentally deal with the challenge of performing in front of a packed house.
