| More on Debbie Cavalier | |||
Combine a love of children, music, and education, and you’ve got Debbie Cavalier of “Debbie and Friends.” Babies, toddlers, kids and their grown-ups all love Debbie and Friends songs; they’re fun, educational, and stylistically diverse. From original rock, pop, and show-style tunes, to down-home country and story songs, there’s something for everyone. Debbie has been making music for children for over 20 years and has worked with some of the world’s greatest icons in children’s music entertainment and education throughout her publishing tenure. These pillars of children’s music include Shari Lewis, Buffalo Bob Smith of Howdy Doody, and Sesame Street famed music teacher, Bob McGrath. Their influence on her songwriting and her creative approach to sharing music with children is evident. Debbie’s first original children’s song, “Three Pigs and a Wolf,” was inspired by her three-year-old nephew Will, who told the story of the Three Little Pigs with such enthusiasm one day that it inspired her to write the song. That led to a series of well-loved original story songs and other imaginative tunes, which she performs regularly with kids and their families throughout the East Coast. Debbie and Friends’ songs have been called thoughtful, clever, and creative, and anyone who has been one of her concerts will tell you it’s great fun for everyone!
