A third-generation radio station owner, Adam Nathanson owns and operates 34 radio stations in the western United States, through his company, Mapleton Communications. Though the second largest radio station operator in California, the company’s stated mission is to “concentrate on the individual needs of each market that we proudly serve with a special emphasis on local decision-making.” Prior to taking the helm at Mapleton, Nathonson was General Manager of the Beastie Boys’ Grand Royal Records.
