"Strategy" can be an intimidating word for many artists. It seems so...business-speak. Perhaps it is, and yet, without strategy, your chances of having a sustained career on your own terms are pretty slim. The important thing to remember is that a key component to strategy is creativity. Frankly, many of the old "strategies" simply aren't working very well.
