To celebrate the launch of the site, ArtistsHouseMusic.org is inviting musicians and industry entrepreneurs to submit their demos or written pieces for evaluation by a panel of ArtistsHouseMusic.org experts. Winners will have their submissions prominently featured on the Artists House site, along with personalized advice on the submissions from experts who know what it really takes to make it in the music industry. All entries are eligible to appear on the Artists House site, but only three in each category will be featured. All entries will be accesible from the user login page.

Beginning on May 1, 2007 ArtistsHouseMusic.org will be accepting submissions in two areas: Recorded Demos from artists and producers, and music business / music education and Written Pieces (articles, marketing plans, business plans, press releases, bios) from educators and business entrepreneurs.

Recorded Demo Submissions:

Getting your demo into the hands of a decision maker is a difficult task. Even more difficult is to get that person to listen to it! Writers, A&R types, club bookers, radio folks, and everyone else in the music industry receive more demos than you can imagine in a given week. It's important that you don't have a poor sounding demo, or one that is not sequenced properly. Our music industry experts include A&R directors and former label presidents who can put you on the right track with this important part of your marketing campaign.

Written Pieces:

Opportunities to post your ideas online abound. However, the opportunity to publish your ideas in a highly visible, heavily promoted, and widely recognized Web site, as well as receive expert comments from luminaries in the industry, is rare. For artists or music business entrepreneurs, the opportunity to have an industry expert review and comment on an essential marketing document or business plan is invaluable. And music educators have the opportunity to join the ranks of notable and published music educators by having their winning piece published on ArtistsHouseMusic.org. Written submissions are always welcome at ArtistsHouseMusic.org, and exceptional pieces will continue to be posted on the site even after the contest ends. This contest is your chance to not only have an article prominently featured on the site, but also get feedback on your piece direct from the experts!

The Details:

Three submissions in each category will be chosen, published on the ArtistsHouseMusic.org site, and personally reviewed by a panel of select music industry and educational luminaries. Submissions will be accepted between May 1, 2007 and June 1, 2007. The winners in each category will have their submissions prominently featured on the Artists House site, along with personalized advice on the submissions from experts by June 15th.
